About the artist

Jerrica Rice is the Artist behind JR Leatherworking. Growing up, she showed horses and served as a rodeo queen, while also competing in ballroom dance. This contrast between grit and refinement continues to shape her work, influencing her approach to both function and design. Jerrica began primarily as a self taught artist but continues to build her knowledge and skills by learning from other professionals in the industry. When not actively working on her art she spends her time with family exploring their home state of Utah, and traveling abroad creating new memories from which she finds inspiration. Through JR Leatherworking, she creates one-of-a-kind, handcrafted leather goods with an emphasis on durability, creativity, and timeless design. Her work includes custom pieces such as chaps made for state-level rodeo queens who have competed at the national level of Miss Rodeo America. As a leather artist, she designs pieces for those with a cowgirl spirit. Built to hold up in real working conditions while maintaining a sense of refinement, detail, and individuality.
